Each day is a journey, and the journey itself home.
-Basho
The above quote is certainly a more beautiful way of expressing the idea behind the more popular saying “The journey is the destination.” I’m also attracted to the sentiment of finding home in change.
This blog’s purpose in life is to document my outdoor-related experiences since moving to Colorado. Hiking, backpacking, skiing and climbing activities alternate with my volunteer work at the American Alpine Club’s library and attendance at slide shows and films.
Adventures prior to 2008 are documented at:

Hi Adam –
Great collection of trips. It’s always great to see the gear we’ve helped you with “in action”.
Next year we need to find you some lighter (dynafit) skis that you can carry all the way to the summit!
Thanks for sharing –

Adam, what a great blog. I hope you are doing well. It is so good to see you on here. I would love to catch up.
Take care,
Jacquie
I recently found your blog, and I’ve really enjoyed reading about your climbing adventures. You appear to have done pretty much everything on my mountainproject “to do” list, so it’s been great to read your review on all of them.

Hey Adam! You took my photo ice climbing today in Ouray. We were up at the New Funtier, way at the end of the park. I’d love to get some from you if you still want to share! – Aleya (www.rockandsky.com)
