It is cool to see that the 1930 summit register is still there.
I climbed both peaks in Aug 1976 and we thought that register was old then.

Great pictures! I love that you included one of getting around the tree. I think we took pics of each one us fighting our way around, over, or through that thing. Great route.

Great hiking with you yesterday, Adam! Thank you for the invite and nice write-up! I'm glad my aim was off with the rocks I sent your way and it was nice to have a relatively easy and painless descent - although the long wet bushwhack had me wishing for sunshine and a repeat of the fun ridge.

Look forward to the next time,
John

Dan,

Thanks for the comments. Keiners was definitely a great route. That hike out is pretty long (as is the approach), but if it was shorter I imagine it'd be a whole lot more crowded.

I didn't realize you had a blog, I'll have to add it to my reader. Hope your fall running is going well.

Fantastic work on probably my favorite mountaineering route in Colorado. Both times I did it I loved every second. Well, except for the hike out.

Adam, nice writeup, just found your blog. I definitely agree on your thoughts of the Monastery. I would like to go back some time to check out the other back areas.

Look forward to climbing with you again soon.
